Role Overview
- Drive large life case support and growth throughout the Northeast Zone. Collaborates with Head of Sales and Guidance and other leaders to develop and execute on sales strategy. Collaborates with staff to develop and implement sales implementation action plans, including all messaging and specific sales and marketing activities. Directs the identification and analysis of key performance metrics for zones, identification of market trends, and development of targeted sales efforts for specific customers. Directs the collaboration between staff and agents in the event of complex cases and competitive situations.
- Collaborates with Agency Marketing, Product Marketing for the Investment Group, and various field-facing groups within Agency (e.g., Cultural Markets, Target Markets) to help agents deliver a unified experience to Agents for their customers and to ensure strategies are coordinated amongst various business units.
- Oversees the training of and support provided to agents on products, policyholder materials, and marketing initiatives. Directs the education of agents in product knowledge and sales techniques, including presentation skills and customized presentations. Oversees and directs staff's coordination and participation in sales and marketing events to promote increases in sales and motivate agents.
- Directs, develops, and manages team, including providing coaching and training, setting goals, evaluating performance, planning staff assignments and development, and making and approving people management decisions (e.g., recruitment, promotions, terminations, and salary changes).
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- Advanced Degrees and/or Designations preferred (CPA, CFA, MBA, CLU, ChFC, or CFP)
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Extensive experience in sales and marketing and deep knowledge of Agency Sales Structure
- Ability to apply broad industry awareness to drive financial and operational performance across Agency Sales Support and Events
- Requires broad understanding of the Company and cross-functional knowledge for Agency and the Insurance Group
- Travel required
