Bachelors degree (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance and five (5) years of experience in providing actuarial services for life insurance or annuity products.
Required Certifications & Skills
Experience must include 1 year in each of the following skills
1) Performing pricing analysis to support the Finance department's understanding of how financial markets drive multiple sources of earnings leveraging Excel, and Prophet or AXIS actuarial software
2) Generating multiple financial metrics utilizing VBA and Prophet or Axis actuarial software for a large insurance company and clarifying the movement of those metrics and associated financial profitability impacts to senior management leveraging financial statement analysis framework, including sensitivity tests and waterfall analysis
3) Designing, implementing, and reviewing actuarial models to support financial analysis, assumption testing, and regulatory requirements leveraging Prophet or Axis actuarial software and,
4) Improving and streamlining existing business procedures for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to increase efficiency and improve understanding of insurance products leveraging VBA and SQL programming languages and R, MATLAB or Python statistical software.
