Technology Risk

Within Technology Risk, the Strategic Execution and Portfolio Management & Chief Operating Office leads the development and execution of strategic initiatives in support of the information security and cyber security program including change management, process improvement and managing audit commitments across Engineering. In addition, the team is responsible for building and scaling business operations to support a rapidly growing workforce overseeing talent management, project management office financial planning, vendor management, workforce strategy, communication, and workplace experience.

Goldman Sachs has one of the most progressive Technology Risk teams in the industry and is continuing to push the development of risk in preference to security within technology and the business. Year on year success has led the team to work deeper into the organization and gain valuable insights into how technology needs to function, what its risk really is and how this impacts the business.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

You will develop a broad understanding of the Technology Risk organization and the complexities and opportunities surrounding its ambitious business priorities. The value you create will be rooted in data-driving insights, proven problem-solving methodologies, and cross-team collaboration. You will also bring your prowess and experience with creating content and events to elevate our Tech Risk culture and brand. You will fulfill these responsibilities along with other strategic projects prioritized by the organization's Technology Risk and Engineering leaders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience in finance, strategy, business management or operations
  • Experience working in a global environment across a matrixed organization
  • Prior experience working within an engineering or cybersecurity environment preferred
  • Deep proficiency in management, communication, internal and external engineering/cybersecurity advocacy or engagement, and organizational development
  • Strong organizational skills, including good judgment and decision-making capabilities
  • Proven track record of driving outcomes in complex, cross-functional business situations
  • Prior experience in finance, budgeting, zero based budgeting activities including headcount strategy and resource management
  • Proficiency in project or program management including ability to create outcome-driven plans and manage multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Exceptional time management and prioritization skills, with a proven track record of coordinating concurrent activities with multiple interdependencies across several teams
  • Experience mapping strategic objectives, building frameworks and presentations, designing materials for senior leadership review and buy-in
  • Proven ability to apply strategic thinking and analytical skills to complex organizational and business issues.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment and to navigate change

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree in Business, Finance, Computer Engineering/Science, or a related field is preferred
  • Data analysis and visualization experience is preferred including experience in Excel and other tool sets
  • Ability to analyze large, complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and trends relevant to organizational goals and interpret data findings in a clear and concise manner for stakeholders
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills (e.g., memos, leadership/board decks)
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve business problems efficiently, effectively, and collaboratively
  • Ability to work closely with senior level sponsors and stakeholders to create consensus around plans, activities, and measures of strategic initiatives
