Job Description

State Streets Anti Money Laundering (AML) technology team is looking for strong data warehouse and database engineer, who can apply their skills to help solve challenging financial crime compliance use cases.

As Application Developer you will

  • Lead the development and maintenance efforts of existing inhouse data warehouse platform.
  • Migrate data and pipelines from on-premise data warehouse platform to cloud lakehouse platform.
  • Perform data analysis on banks internal data using Oracle based tools.
  • Build out data quality and data governance checks.
  • Drive and execute production releases following internal change control processes.
  • Be responsible for data acquisition using Hadoop and associated big data technologies.
  • Assume end to end delivery ownership from development to Production rollout.
  • Collaborate with business, onsite and offshore teams following agile methodology.
  • Follow enterprise standards of security, SDLC and governance.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of hands on experience with application development.
  • Strong experience with data warehouse, database and ETL technologies along with proven knowledge on Python, Oracle PL/SQL and Unix shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of BigData technologies like Hadoop, Spark, SQL and NoSQL is a plus.
  • Knowledge on AWS and Databricks is a big plus.
  • Knowledge of DEVOPS, Github, Jenkins is plus.
  • Knowledge of Finance, custody services, data privacy, AML and related compliance domain is big plus.

Additional requirements

This role may require occasional L4 production support and weekend release support.
