Global ComplianceOur division prevents, detects and mitigates compliance, regulatory and reputational risk across the firm and helps to strengthen the firms culture of compliance. Compliance accomplishes these through the firms enterprise-wide compliance risk management program. As an independent control function and part of the firms second line of defense, Compliance assesses the firms compliance, regulatory and reputational risk monitors for compliance with new or amended laws, rules and regulations designs and implements controls, policies, procedures and training conducts independent testing investigates, surveils and monitors for compliance risks and breaches and leads the firms responses to regulatory examinations, audits and inquiries. Youll be part of a team with members from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, such as law, accounting, sales, and trading. We look for those who possess sound judgment, curiosity, and are able to adapt to a changing regulatory landscape.
Job Summary & Responsibilities
Are you passionate about the customer experience?We're looking for an Associate to join our consumer banking compliance team covering consumer products.You will focus on review and supporting the business to ensure flawless execution and mitigation of consumer compliance risks. You will specifically support enhancements in the Compliance Program and Risks and Controls framework in consumer banking.
How will you fulfill your potential
- Ensure compliance with U.S. consumer financial laws and regulations applicable to consumer products issued in the United States
- Support the Compliance Program and drive consistency in its execution across consumer areas
- Identify areas of risk, work with stakeholders on issue management
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of compliance, operations experience in financial services
- Experience in compliance risks and controls
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state consumer lending laws and regulations as well as industry association standards, including, among others, Truth in Lending Act (Reg Z),Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA/Regulation V), Electronic Funds Transfer Act (EFTA), and Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts and Practices(UDAAP)
- Must be self-directed, organized, positive, driven, detail-oriented, and effective in a fast-paced, changing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Risk management experience in Compliance, Legal, Audit, or related field
- Operational knowledge of consumer banking industry and products
- Strong relationship management skills with ability to deepen relationships and buildpartnerships across the business and key functional support areas like Internal Audit, Legal, Technology, and Risk
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast paced environment
- Be detail-oriented
