Wells Fargo is seeking a Communication Director in the Wells Fargo Auto organization. This leader will be responsible for managing strategic internal, external, and executive communications for Wells Fargo. The team delivers world-class communications counsel and content to stakeholders in ways that build trust while protecting and enhancing the company's reputation and culture.
In this role, you will
- Manage a team of managers and more experienced level individual contributors responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans that advance Wells Fargo's reputation as an industry leader.
- Manage Auto's communications strategy and provide support for large size business segment.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic counselor to executives.
- Inform and influence decision makers at the executive level.
- Collaborate with executives on business objectives and strategy to enhance organizational brand and reputation.
- Partner with other Communications teams to ensure alignment of communications strategies and messaging.
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Communications
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of management experience
Desired Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in auto servicing strategic communication plans.
- 6 + years direct management experience
- Strong analytical and writing skills, ability to effectively communicate in mission-critical moments. Must operate with grace under pressure.
- Experience working for a bank or public relations agency supporting financial service clients ina communications capacity.
- Deep experience working with top-tier media outlets and financial press
- Experience leading, high-performing geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams within a matrix organization.
- Ability to collaborate across large, matrixed teams.
- Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades, educates, and enhances.
- Excellent relationship-building and networking skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and strategically to solve complex communication challenges.
- Experience managing crisis communications and navigating sensitive issues with professionalism and integrity.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potential.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high level of adaptability and resilience.
