A great opportunity has arisen in our New York office for an Analyst within our Commodity Markets and Finance division to support the CMF Americas COO team.
Commodity Markets and Finance (CMF) Division provides a full spectrum offering to clients with exposure to commodities. CMF provides risk management, financing, physical execution and logistics across the full spectrum of commodities and in all regions.
The CMF Americas COO team is dedicated to working with CMF businesses and support areas to ensure that businesses operate efficiently and effectively to meet CMF's strategic goals. The team supports the day-to-day operations and helps find solutions for operational, commercial and strategic issues facing the business.
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically minded individual to join our team, where your responsibilities will include
- Managing the high-quality analysis and execution of commercial and strategic initiatives and projects.
- Engaging and building relationships with CMF colleagues and stakeholders based on respect, trust and collaboration.
- Protecting CMF from Operational Risk by actively identifying exposures and seeking to mitigate them.
- Providing business analysis to management and stakeholders by generating regular and useful management information reports.
- Support CMF's regulatory framework including regulatory reporting and regulatory change initiatives.
- Provide business support in the areas of funding and capital.
To be successful in this role you will
- hold a degree in a business, engineering or a science discipline with a high level of academic merit strong numerical and excel skills are required.
- have 1-5 years of experience in financial services or commodity trading businesses either in a business analyst capacity or in risk/control-related roles.
- an understanding or experience in financial markets and derivative products.
- engage with internal stakeholders, such as Finance, Risk, Tax, Operations, IT and Treasury and to earn their respect and trust.
- demonstrate high levels of drive, initiative and attention to detail.
- be highly motivated with a confident and professional attitude, possessing strong analytical thinking, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Salary range for this position $90,000 - $120,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
