Position Responsibilities
- Develop a working understanding of important topics in advice delivery such as retirement readiness, goal tracking, workplace benefit review, employee stock ownership, insurance projections, savings strategies for goal achievement, among others.
- Assist advisor(s) in preparing client meetings for clients as assigned. This includes meeting presentations/agendas, as well as relevant materials such as reports, illustrations, brochures, new business paperwork, etc.
- Complete all follow up documentation from client meetings, including entering new data received into financial planning tools and client relationship management tool (Salesforce/CRM).
- Ensure new business paperwork is submitted efficiently which includes preparation of forms and documentation for submission to home office, acquisition of appropriate signatures, tracking of new insurance applications and coordination of rollovers.
- Utilizes the tools and resources developed by Ameriprise Financial LLC for optimal practice effectiveness and efficiency, leading to a superior client experience.
- Assists clients with engaging with Ameriprise technology.
- Displays willingness to learn all compliance regulations consistent with applicable law and Broker Dealer requirements, as it pertains to the financial services industry.
- This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work activities.
- This role allows the individual the opportunity for growth into an Associate Financial Advisor role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience within a team-based, client service environment.
- Already have or be able to study for and pass exams (within 150 days of employment) for federal and state licenses and registrations for securities, including Series 7, Series 66, and State life, accident and health insurance licenses.
- Strong client service and interpersonal skills for building long term client relationships.
- Strong work ethic, team player and a high degree of professionalism.
- Strong computer and software skills. An understanding of Microsoft Office and Salesforce/CRM is highly preferred.
- Detail-oriented, strong math, and analytical skills.
- Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by the practice and Ameriprise Financial LLC.
- Excellent time management skills and superior attention to detail. Ability to work independently in a blend of in-person and remote work.
