Job Description
The Firm is seeking a Client Reporting and Analytics Manager to revamp the firm's client reporting framework and processes in its Chicago office. This person will be an integral part in automating and streamlining the reporting process servicing a global institutional client base that is invested across all public securities strategies. The person will work closely with the Risk, Data, and Performance team and will regularly interact with investment, finance, technology, operations and legal professionals as well as senior management.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing the new client reporting infrastructure and related processes.
- Understand the firm's investment strategies and reported metrics with requisite depth to produce and validate data across equity and fixed income.
- Works to create and maintain a standardized client reporting package for each business line.
- Participates in client onboarding to understand any future reporting requirements or additional non-standard client requests.
- Subject matter expert for all client reporting software (Vermilion Reporting Suite, Seismic, Launchpad, IVP).
- Responsible for liaising with the Client Portfolio Managers on all changes to standard data and reporting requests.
- Responsible for training and managing a client reporting associate and continuing to develop junior employees in related roles.
- Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will possess the following
- 5+ years Investment/Asset Management experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree required (preferable in
- Finance/Accounting/or
- Active team player with the ability to independently manage the function, while also responding to shifting priorities
- Ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to bring new ideas and creative solutions to discussions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage projects independently able to navigate ambiguity
- Strong influence both internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy
- Experience with public securities (real assets) strategies and knowledge of alternatives strategies is beneficial
- Able to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks to ensure that complex projects are completed by deadline, with interim review steps incorporated
- Demonstrate initiative and ability to make decisions within time constraints
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) knowledge of Seismic, eVestment, and Vermilion Reporting Suite a plus
- Basic understanding of SQL or ability to learn what is required to help automate reports.
