Team Overview
Client Invoicing Services (CIS) is a global team of approx. 80 and is part of the BlackRock Global Client Experience (CX).
CIS provide management and performance fee invoices for institutional separately managed account clients and retail relationships located in the Americas, EMEA and APAC (excluding Japan). CIS are responsible for reviewing fee terms within client agreements, ensuring invoices and internal accruals are raised in line with these agreements and following up with clients to ensure collection of revenue. Global CIS Operations teams are currently located in Budapest, Edinburgh, Delaware, Atlanta and Gurgaon.
CIS produce around 6,000 invoices on a quarterly basis. Many invoice calculations are complex due to agreed fee terms and client structures.
Role Responsibility
We are looking for an experienced professional who is a self-starter, a problem solver, and dedicated with a strong operational background to be part of the EMEA Client Invoicing team.
- Become a subject matter expert in management fee and performance fee calculations and billing
- Lead discussions, provide solutions, create operational control framework, and drive for operational excellence and enhanced client experience
- Proactively investigate, call out and remediate calculation/billing issues/errors. Lead/support projects and initiatives to improve our operating model collaborating with internal business and technology partners.
- Ensure compliance with CASS and SOX regulations as they relate to Client Distribution Services and take ownership for meeting the requirements of regular internal and external audits.
Experience
- 4 years' experience in an operational/accounting/finance environment with a keen interest in client service and operational excellence. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to identify problems and develop solutions.
- have the ability or experience to translate contractual agreements into mathematical equations.
- Excellent attention to detail and understanding of operational processes.
- Empathy and a unique ability to understand customer needs, passionate about customer service.
- Intermediate to advanced level Excel and fast learning capability for new applications and technical solutions.
- Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistic or related field preferred but not essential

- Excellent organization and time management skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
- Ability to clearly and confidently communicate in verbal and written form
- Strong sense of personal accountability
