Here are a few examples of the kinds of things you'll do

  • Acquire, analyze, and investigate death certificates, beneficiary designations, and financial and contractual information to make effective and timely claim decisions.
  • Communicate optimally and compassionately with employers, employees, and beneficiaries via phone, email, text, and letters.
  • Provide clients with updates regarding policy provisions, claim decisions, status, and all other aspects of the claim process to ensure they fully understand the companys position.
  • Supervise and follow up on outstanding items to ensure compliance with regulations, service timing, and quality guidelines.

Who You Are

  • 4+ years of claims or customer service experience or equivalent proven through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Life Insurance claim processing experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Ability to adapt to frequent change, make independent decisions and take ownership to resolve issues
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and pay strict attention to detail
  • Good math skills
  • Strong proficiency with business unit products, processes and systems
  • Proficient with desktop applications such as MS Office and Internet browsers
  • Ability to optimally navigate within numerous software and web applications.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
