Key Responsibilities
- Determine flight routes, speed, and takeoff and landing performance and fulfilling scheduling requirements.
- Make decisions regarding delays, rerouting or flight cancellations, handle on-board passenger demands and provide alternatives as needed.
- Participate in all aspects of the Safety Management System (SMS).
- Maintain detailed knowledge of industry practice, regulatory and Company procedures, FAA regulations, and codes of conduct for corporate flight operations and landing systems around the world.
- Understand Company policies as they pertain to flight operations, as well as employee policies and procedures.
- Participate in departmental initiatives, ensuring the success and improvement of operations and safety.
- Activities include improving department functions, working with VP Flight Operations on problem-solving of operational issues. Goal is to improve service, safety, and efficiency of the Ameriprise flight group.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of aircraft systems and procedures through recurrent training and self-study, with materials and support provided by the company.
- Must meet or exceed Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations for maintaining appropriate licenses to fly the aircraft.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot license with GV/G550/450 Type Rating.
- Must have minimum of 5,000 hours total flying time 2500 hours pilot in command time in jet aircraft, 1500 hours flying time G550/G450 Aircraft.
- International flying experience.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in Corporate Aviation, including 5 years' experience flying heavy aircraft.
- Valid FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit Current and able to maintain an FAA First Class Medical.
- Meet ICAO international requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in operating Gulfstream V/550/450 aircraft.
- Worldwide international flying experience.
