The Business Systems Analyst will serve as the front-line resource in managing and defining data requests and requirements for the Member Enrollment department. This person will assist our Client Engagement team and Clients by being a technical point of contact to set expectations, provide updates and drive EDI implementations to completion. Under limited supervision, aid Member Enrollment goals and objectives by working closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that integrations and implementations exceed client expectations. Work within a distributed team US based distributed team to document, prioritize, develop, test and release small to large scale EDI solutions with clients located across the country.

The opportunity

How you will contribute

  • Ability to oversee and coach internal resources on EDI methodologies
  • Perform intake review and direct external and internal stakeholders through the prioritization of work requests
  • Manage the execution process for implementing new business member enrollment EDI projects for all lines of business
  • Demonstrated ability to drive to deadlines, balancing multiple priorities, and ensuring quality standards
  • Provide strategic evaluation to define and improve standard solutions, standard deliverables and templates
  • Work with IT teams and external clients to evaluate EDI data and recommend solutions to client requirements
  • Ability to work on large and small scale projects for new business implementations and for maintaining existing client implementations with a significant focus on dental eligibility and enrollment via HIPAA compliant 834 EDI files and nonstandard EDI solutions
  • Ability to document and maintain requirements using source to target maps, data dictionary, process documentation and team defined standards using tools such as SQL, Word and Excel
  • Mentor less experienced Analysts develop skillsets needed for managing clients, ability to coach to processes and templates
  • Ensure data quality through scenario based testing
  • Ability to provide root cause evaluation and sound resolution for escalated production issues
  • Facilitate and perform deep dive data analysis reconciliation with external clients

What you will bring with you

  • Must have 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Product Owner, Systems Analyst or Data Analyst
  • Must have demonstrated progressive levels of responsibility, experience and supervision
  • BS or equivalent and 4-6 years of experience in computer sciences, business analysis or related field, or equivalent combination
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills with strong ability to shift focus as necessary to meet deadlines
  • Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate technical details to technical and non-technical resources
  • Ability to facilitate a conference call, via remote access, in-person meeting with clients and/or internal team members
  • Knowledge of dental or medical insurance claims processing preferred
  • Familiarity with appropriate handling of Personal Health Information (PHI) data
  • Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with complex SQL queries
  • Strong knowledge of relational database applications and data query protocols (MS Access, SQL Server, Structured Query Language, SQL Reporting Services)
  • Project Management Skills desired
  • Experience with SSIS, .NET, XML, SSRS, Informatica, Stored Procedures, C#

If you are a California resident, the salary range for this position is

  • Southern region $70,600 - 105,900 annually
  • Central region $74,500 - 111,800 annually
  • Northern region $79,700 - 119,600 annually

If you are a Colorado resident, the salary range for this position is $67,400 - 101,100 annually.
