THE ROLE

Utilizing strong attention to detail, conducts a technical review of the data provided for marketing collateral, analyzes findings to uncover trends and utilizes this analysis to enhance the best practices of the Global Product team. When a technical review is completed, formulas should be reviewed, sourcing confirmed, and quality of the data is reviewed relying on existing information. Should be able to evaluate the saved source documentation to complete their review and should determine a representative sampling that should be checked during their review that ensures a high level of accuracy.

Additionally, the individual will be expected to participate in firm wide projects and act as a lead for the analysts in the Business Operations team. More specifically the individual would actively participate as part of the agile scrum team for Typefi, one of MFS's client and marketing materials automation tools. As such, this role is expected to provide strategic partnership across the department to drive solutions, decrease operational risk and promote long-term efficiency as well as to train and supervise individuals in the analyst role.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Conducts a variety of data checks on the data provided for external use with the goal of minimizing the risk of erroneous data being used on marketing materials.
  • Partners with the Investment Product Analyst and Specialist team to help implement data record retention standards and best practices within the Global Product team.
  • Leads the analyst team within the Business Operations team by training and monitoring that processes and best practices are adhered to.
  • Works as a liaison to other business units, in order to increase automation and identify ways to minimize errors found during the production of marketing and client materials.
  • Participates in developing and enhancing Global Product operational processes and mitigating risks.
  • Prepare and present analysis of findings from ongoing data collection and sampling to management and MFS Committees when requested.
  • Participates in quality-focused improvements in firm wide processes for which Global Product is a stakeholder.
  • Develop and provide system training on reporting tools as needed.
  • Assist with quality assurance testing of systems, reports and processes as needed.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.
  • 5-6+ years experience in investment marketing and communications, with focus on data analytics.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory framework in which the firm operates.
  • Proven experience working hands-on with large volumes of data to interpret and report results
  • Demonstrated desire to develop and foster strong interpersonal relationships
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks in a high pressure and deadline driven environment.
  • Working knowledge of the following analytical tools recommended Excel, Morningstar Direct, FactSet, SPAR, SharePoint, and Bloomberg (Point/Port).
  • Exposure to project management/project management skills is a plus.
