As Business Analyst for T. Rowe Price's new planning and advice platform team, you will contribute to the definition, development, launch, and ongoing management of high-quality, successful retirement planning and advice software products delivered to T. Rowe Price's clients thru our intermediary and direct business channels. Individuals in this role must effectively partner with business and technology stakeholders across multiple teams to ensure the strategic goals and objectives of the products are met and deliver the desired business value. This role's primary responsibility will be to own refinement activities within an agile product team, specifically defining and writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and user interface design for platform and product enhancements activities to include obtaining acceptance and alignment from stakeholders for the recommended enhancements, documenting requirements along with prioritization, user acceptance testing, and working with technology teams to deliver enhancements that generate business value.

Role Summary

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business and product owners to develop a timely and actionable product backlog of features and user stories that align with product strategy and roadmap
  • Write clear, concise, and well-structured business requirements, user stories, and documentation
  • Research a variety of activities, dependencies, gaps, or other critical items that are relevant to assigned projects
  • Participate in agile ceremonies to communicate and validate requirements with agile team
  • Work closely with developers to ensure that user stories are delivered on time and within scope
  • Conduct user acceptance testing to assure user stories meet acceptance criteria
  • Keep both internal and external teams and stakeholders up to date on the timeline and progress of product development initiatives, projects, and features
  • Collaborate with UI/UX team to inform
  • information/interaction
  • Collect and analyze product performance and client feedback to provide data-driven recommendations to senior business leaders that will improve client experience, execute strategic initiatives, and achieve operational efficiencies
  • Complete data collection and documentation as it relates to assigned projects
  • Utilize relationships across the business to facilitate business change and improvements
  • Support specific initiatives that help meet key performance indicators, operational efficiencies, or nondiscretionary compliance projects

Qualifications

Required

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Business Analyst role
  • Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Preferred

  • Experience in financial services/wealth management industry
  • Experience building cloud-based software solutions and extensible, flexible SaaS platforms and products
  • Working knowledge of common SaaS technologies and architectures
  • Competency using productivity and collaboration applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
  • Knowledge using data visualization techniques and tools
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Proven experience in eliciting requirements, writing user stories, and owning a product backlog
  • Hands-on experience conducting user acceptance testing
  • Knowledge generating process documentation
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to use data to help drive decision-making
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for full time remote work.

Regional Requirements

Base salary range

66,000 - $113,500

$

USD for the locations of Colorado and the State of Washington

83,000 - $141,000

$

USD for the locations of California and New York

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual's relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
