The anticipated salary range for this role is between $73,000.00and $86,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role Description
SMBC Capital Markets, Inc. is seeking a new hire within its IT Project Management / Business Analysis Team.
In this role, the Project Manager/Business Analyst will work in a fast-paced environment and work closely with Business & Technology Application Owners, Vendors, Infrastructure and Development Teams.
Role Objectives
- The PM/BA will be in the AGC Response Team for the Capital Markets and Nikko Securities entities. The AGC (Architecture Guidelines Compliance) process is the architectural review control point in the onboarding of technology. It is the one control point where Application Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, and Security converge to review all new products (software and/or services), applications, interfaces, databases, and proof of concepts.
- Use Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based applications to effectively identify, track, and communicate status for applications that will go through the AGC Process.
- Facilitate communications with the application owners, project sponsors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Liaise with application owners to understand projects and OS, database, web browsers, APIs, hardware version, data types, cloud components, network & data flow diagrams, and security assessments.
- Liaise with Risk Management on questions regarding risk exposure from applications, data flow, and vendors.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong communication/presentation skills (written and oral) in cross-cultural business environment.
- Strong work ethic with focus on meeting deadlines and objectives.
- Strong skills working with MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Teams, & MS SharePoint.
- Must be highly energetic, detail-orientated, and extremely proactive, and be able to perform under pressure in a challenging environment.
- Prefer 1-3 years of experience as a PM/BA or application architect preferably in the Financial Industry.
- Familiarity with working on a variety of project types (e.g., in-house developed applications, vendor implementations, business only, Infrastructure only).
- Technical background with a high-level understanding of application architecture, networking, cybersecurity controls,databases, storage, and logs & monitoring.
- High-level understanding of both upstream and downstream IT processes including incident management, vulnerability and identity, and access management.
- Familiarity with integration with third party vendor platforms.
- Bachelors degree. Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.
