Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to join our Group Benefit team, who will collaborate with Product/Business Owners, and Developers, to analyze the business need, explore and help to make that solution reality!
Responsibilities
- Using your analytical skills and critical thinking to ask questions, understand business needs, and ultimately bring order and precision to scope of work to be delivered.
- Uncovering and understanding current business processes and conducting workflow analysis and documentation.
- Research business and user problems while working closely with Group Benefits' business and IT Partners to evaluate and validate proposed solutions for a variety of initiatives such as service quality and/or efficiency enhancements and/or the implementation of new products and technologies.
- Developing and detailing business requirement documents and specifications so that all partners have a clear and consistent understanding of the proposed solution.
- Perform the analytical work to refine requirements such as customer journey mapping, identifying epics/user stories, process mapping, acceptance criteria, decision tables, business rules, and test cases to convey requirements clearly and accurately and ensure a successful implementation.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing and identify the issues impacting business.
- Actively participating in an agile environment involving team members with varying degrees of expertise and specialization.
- Adapting quickly to changing priorities and timelines while keeping business needs in focus.
- Lead meetings and present written information to teams and business partners.
- Identify efficiencies within the team with a continual focus on process improvement.
Requirements for this role
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business/Computer Science preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive business analysis experience.
- Must be experienced using SQL
- Solid, hands-on experience in writing business requirements/user stories and test cases
- Understanding of software/digital channel products and related project management/delivery lifecycles.
- Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to cultivate relationships with key partners presenting a broad range of functions and levels.
- Robust knowledge MS applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) is a must.
- Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic business environment with a positive can-do demeanor.
- Agile/SAFe knowledge and JIRA/Confluence experience is an asset.
