This position involves a hybrid work schedule - working on site one day per week.

The Group Membership Association Department (GMAD) is looking to add a Business Analyst to support our critical business applications. The business analyst will be tasked with working with the business areas and various vendors to support and enhance the applications as well as work with Enterprise Technology on any corporate changes to the applications. The business analyst will also be responsible for reporting requests the are raised for the supported applications.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the business areas to gather and write business requirement documents.
  • Work with the vendor(s) to ensure understanding of requirements.
  • Work with the vendor(s) and other areas of the organization to implement software enhancements and support production instance of application(s).
  • Ensure that vendor enhancements are completed on time and within budget.
  • Support Quality Assurance (QA) Testing of enhancements and fixes to the applications.
  • Be the first level of support on production issues.
  • Liaison with Enterprise Technology teams on corporate initiatives and infrastructure changes for applications that are hosted in New York Life data centers.
  • Create and update reports based on business requests.
  • Create time sensitive ad hoc reports and queries for regulatory requirements and audits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years business analyst experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in report creation and working with database queries.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Effective time management and project coordination skills to handle multiple projects.

  • Ability to work independently as well as be part of a larger team effort.
  • Ability to problem solve and think outside the box.
  • Ability to create effective partnerships with diverse roles and positions throughout the organization.
