What Youll Do

Principal is seeking

highly motivated individuals for a

Broker Dealer Associate I

Here are few examples of the kinds of things you'll do

  • Provide service to broker dealer customers and registered representatives through various means including written correspondence, email, phone, internet and fax.
  • Process time sensitive tasks with a high level of accuracy while maintaining high level of performance.
  • Ensure accurate and correct paperwork is received and handled appropriately using available resources to research more complex requests
  • Communicate and collaborate with teammates throughout the day to complete all tasks.
  • Prepare documentation using templates to send out required forms to customers.
  • Assist with special projects that require minimal research.
  • Perform other job related duties or special projects as assigned.

Who You Are

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Must become an associated person of Principal Securities.
  • FINRA SIE license is a plus!
  • Requires a high degree of accuracy with a strong attention to detail.
  • Must have good typing and 10-key skills.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to handle the pressure of heavy work volume important.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, problem solving, prioritization, interpersonal and time management skills necessary.
  • Requires basic computer skills and the ability to learn business unit software.

Work Environments

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You'll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
