Job Summary

Marcus Deposits is one of the leading and fastest growing online banks, and acquisition marketing plays a critical role in growth. The Marcus acquisition marketing team is responsible for driving new customers and deposits through digital media channels efficiently and at scale, as well as managing and optimizing customers' experience on site to account application for the Marcus high-yield savings accounts, certificates of deposits, and invest products. The team is performance-driven and focused on operational excellence.

As a Search Marketing Associate, you'll work with the broader search marketing team to manage the tactical components within integrated Search Engine Marketing (SEM) campaigns, more commonly known as Paid Search, or Pay-per-Click (PPC). Working with Google and Microsoft Bing, and our externalagency (among others), you'll assist with the execution, optimization, planning, analysis and reporting for our team. You will have direct impact to growing the business.

You will also help the acquisition team stay current with industry trends and customer expectations to incorporate them into our optimization plan. As part of your role, you will interact and work with Product, Pricing, Legal & Compliance, Analytics, and Tech among others.

Responsibilities

  • Work with paid search team to develop and execute campaigns, from planning, development, legal & compliance, execution, optimization and reporting.
  • Work directly with business teams on initial campaign planning as well as weekly performance reviews.
  • Conduct keyword research and analysis, copy development, bid strategy, optimization, and budget allocation.
  • Review campaign performance on daily, weekly, and monthly basis develop reporting dashboards and conduct deep dive analysis as needed.
  • Develop and own testing plan for new learnings and improve campaign performance.
  • Work collaboratively with broader marketing, business / product, analytics, legal & compliance, and tech teams.
  • Manage projects to enhance the organization's marketing tech stack (as needed).
  • Help manage the relationship with our paid search agency, collaborating with them to execute no initiatives aimed at driving growth.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of marketing and paid search experience. Hands on keys experience.
  • Experienced in paid search keyword research, building out ad copy, bid strategy, and other optimization tactics.
  • Working experience with Google Marketing Platform (CM, SA360, DV360, GA360, Google Ads).
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (macros, pivot tables, VBA, etc.), Access and PowerPoint. Proficiency in SPSS, R, SQL and Tableau beneficial but not necessary.
  • Familiarity with Tableau or any data visualization reporting tools is a plus.
  • Experience managing vendors.
  • Bachelors Degree required.
