What is the opportunity?

Working with the Financial Sponsors Group in Europe to help in delivering on our key strategic initiatives and enhancing our positioning with key Private Equity clients.

What will you do?

  • Overseeing weekly WIP and newsletters, tracking sponsor intelligence to help orient RBC efforts around key target names
  • Maintaining database for monthly sell side initiative & coordination with sector / product teams to log and proactively deliver on key action items
  • Supporting on preparation of monthly FSG reporting deck for senior management in partnership with senior team members
  • Monitoring of refi opportunities and coordination of pitch materials with LevFin team
  • Supporting in coordination of annual FSG business plan
  • Oversight of FSG P&L in coordination with business management team and key product partners (eg. LevFin, M&A, ECM, RSG etc)
  • Attending client meetings and supporting in coordinating follow-ups on key deliverables, in addition to preparing briefing notes as required
  • Acting as an extrapolation of deal teams on key buyside / sell side pitches & executions
  • Second line coverage responsibilities with scope to grow into a more fulsome coverage role down the line
  • Supporting regional coverage officers in growing relationships with FS30 names in the key regional hubs (eg. Benelux, DACH, France, Spain), with occasional travel to support key pitches

What do you need to succeed?

  • Previous Investment Banking experience is essential, preferably encompassing transaction experience with Private Equity clients in a sector or product role.
  • You will be a highly motivated and proactive individual, with an ability to build and maintain strong internal and client relationships.
