Summary of duties Assess the reliability and validity of large-volume investment data to address complex business challenges. Optimize financial reporting structure to deliver holistic solutions and standardize data content. Use UNIX to run arguments and interact with internal program systems to support new business needs, minimize risk, enhance quality and navigate changing markets. Work across cross-functional projects analyzing, loading, and transmitting large sets of financial data using SQL and Python. Leverage and analyze files, big data, and standard industry information that feeds into client websites. Provide risk-based reporting to clients to help understand investment exposure. Perform data analytics and financial quantitative analysis to ensure accuracy of large analytical data sets, automate processes with scripts and macros and query information from databases.
Qualifications Masters degree in Management and Systems, Economics, Investment Management, Finance or a related field or one (1) year of experience in the job offered or as an Analyst, Data Analyst or related OR Bachelor's degree in Management and Systems, Economics, Investment Management, Finance or a related field or three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as an Analyst, Data Analyst or related. Must have one (1) year of experience with the following financial reporting UNIX SQL and Python data visualization data automation financial instruments including Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives and Alternatives managing project life cycles, including design testing, development support and enhancement of client tools conducting business analysis to identify client needs and determine solutions to problems and utilizing Microsoft Office and Power BI to manage internal and external communication and client presentations.

For Seattle only the salary range for this position is $102,000 $120,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
