What Youll Do
We're looking for a Quantitative Research Associate to join our Asset Allocation team. In this role, you'll develop quantitative investment models that will be used to run systematic global macro portfolios. The Associate's primary responsibility will be conducting research in derivatives-based long/short global macro trading strategies.
- Alpha research Build long/short trading strategies across commodity futures, bond futures, equity index futures, and currency forwards/futures. Experience in relative value, directional and opportunistic macro strategies in near-systematic or fully systematic strategies
- Sourcing of new data Perform new data source research, data acquisition and onboarding from external vendors
- Data management proper implementation of data models, pipelines, database designs, and ETL principles in partnership with Technology team
- Data quality assurance and production model experience ensuring information received and delivered is accurate and timely. Partner with Technology team to ensure production code is written efficiently and is run with proper oversight.
- Portfolio management Participate in the portfolio management and work with senior PM and the trade desk to ensure efficient implementation and deliver live attractive performance track record

Who You Are
- Master's degree or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Finance, Financial Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science with 3+ years of related experience
- Experience in building Commodity and/or Currency Long/Short strategies in a global macro portfolio setting
- Solid programming skills in Python and SQL

- Global macro portfolio management experience is strongly preferred
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and proven problem-solving abilities
- Success in this position requires the ability to make effective, well-informed decisions and recommendations in a highly time-sensitive environment
- Must have a very high level of self-initiative, be able to work independently within a collegial structure, and be comfortable taking risks
- You enjoy asking research questions, expressing opinions, and actively engaging in internal discussions regarding investment strategy design and implementation
