. Over the course of our 30-year history in this space, we have invested across thousands of partnership interests, driving highly differentiated and proprietary transactions through our deeply established relationships with institutional investors, fund sponsors, and market advisors.

Ares Secondaries

has more than 150 professionals across six offices in New York, Boston, Dallas, London, Hong Kong, and Simsbury, Connecticut.

The firm is currently looking to hire an Associate to join our Private Equity, Secondaries Investment Team in our London office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate investment opportunities by conducting due diligence, researching industries, benchmarking comparable companies, communicating with fund sponsors, and preparing financial models
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis on leveraged buyout, venture capital and other private equity limited partnership interests and their underlying company investments
  • Prepare presentations to investment committees and the broader investment team
  • Support the investment team in transaction management and monitoring of existing investments
  • Develop a network of contacts in the private equity industry through interactions with counterparties as part of transactions, attendance of industry conferences and fund sponsor annual meetings

Education/Experience Required

  • 2-3 years' experience in investment banking, private equity or principal investing
  • Successful candidates will have a proven track record of leadership skills, and a strong record of academic achievement
  • Ability to work both independently and as a productive member of transaction teams
  • Strong financial analysis and proven modeling, writing and presentation skills
