Responsibilities
- Provide corporate finance legal support within the firm's Global Private Debt strategy, including working with outside counsel, in-house lawyers, senior officers and investment professionals
- Assist deal team with closing, including working closely with the Operations, Accounting and Tax teams
- Manage deal=related counterparty KYC/AML process, including coordinating requests with outside counsel, reviewing supplied documents, organizing the data and ensuring compliance with internal procedures
- Manage inbound KYC requests with respect to Oaktree funds and accounts
- Coordinate the execution of definitive deal documentation and appropriately file closing sets
- Assist with the creation, maintenance and management of a searchable precedent document database, including interfacing with the third-party deal summary provider and populating responses in an internal online platform
- Assist with the planning and coordination of corporate finance trainings with outside counsel
- Create and maintain an outside counsel deal database
- Participate in cross-departmental initiatives to design and implement firm-wide procedures
- Provide support on other transactional matters, including assisting with preparation of board materials for quarterly meetings for Oaktree's business development companies, and other special projects
Experience required
- 3+ years of experience at a large law firm, preferably within a transactional practice in a paralegal-type role, and/or within the financial services or alternative asset management industry
- Exposure to KYC/AML regulations, investment funds, and corporate finance work, or any combination thereof, is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook and Excel, as well as other business software programs, is mandatory
- Exceptional writing, drafting and interpersonal communication skills are mandatory
- Candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proven capability in analyzing complex data, evaluating information and drawing logical conclusions and demonstrated ability to identify key issues
- Track record in planning and project management and in maintaining composure under pressure while meeting deadlines

Education
A Bachelor's degree is required.
Base Salary Range
$100,000 - $125,000
In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a
