Purpose of the
role
The role offers the opportunity to play a key role in
Brookfield's Australian Infrastructure
data,
The Associate will be responsible for performing research and leading sections of financial analysis, modelling and presentations to support the development of investment strategies and identify attractive transaction opportunities. The Associate will also be responsible for executing due diligence across various opportunities, and will be involved in a range of acquisitions, divestments and asset management initiatives.
About the Role
Origination and Execution
Contribute to investment sourcing and execution including
- Generate investment ideas consistent with Brookfield's investment strategy,
- Identify and assess potential risks and devise appropriate risk mitigation strategies,
- Assist with the preparation of high-quality investment committee presentation materials and other supporting documents in a clear and concise manner,
- Build financial models that include operational, financing, tax, valuation and other relevant aspects to support financial analysis and
- Work with Brookfield's operational teams and advisors to progress due diligence and asset management-related analysis.
Portfolio
Management
Be involved with select, allocated portfolio companies, including
- Monitoring performance of portfolio
- companies,
- Assisting with strategic initiatives at portfolio companies
- and
- Participating in special projects as
- required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess
- 2-4 years of relevant experience (such as a private equity / infrastructure fund or an investment bank),
- a strong interest in infrastructure and real assets.
- the the ability to generate investment ideas that align to fund mandates (core and core-plus)
- sound commercial judgement, the ability to clearly articulate a situation, the relevant, considerations and make well-reasoned recommendation(s).
- A professional, positive attitude and capable of contributing to a dynamic and team-oriented culture.
- a proactive, self-starter who is capable of working by themselves or as part of a larger
- team.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving ability, with ability to think laterally for the benefit of the division and company as a whole.
- Experience in conducting research and due diligence.
