The Opportunity

Act as a key strategic and financial advisor to the business senior executive team, support in business review process, providing articulated, in-depth and actionable analysis on KPIs. Help lead the Asia wide planning process collaborating with Group and Asia business units. Act as a change agent on existing process, seeking ongoing improvement and efficiency.

We are looking for someone with

  • Accounting, Finance or related degree
  • 8-10 year's relevant experience
  • Qualified accountant is a plus
  • Experience with insurance company (markets or group/regional office) is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented ability to establish appropriate checks on one's own or others' work product.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and control financial systems and processes.
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong English communication (both written and verbal) and inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to work with C-Suite
  • Proficiency in Hyperion-Essbase is a plus.
  • Knowledge in Anaplan is a plus.

On the job you will

  • Manage region-wide full cycle financial forecasts and plans (involving 10 countries / territories).
  • Prepare and consolidate division plan materials/key metric trends to Asia Segment's senior management.
  • Monitor divisional performance in delivering strategic and business targets
  • Develop and present well articulated, in-depth and actionable analysis of key financial components such as sales and expenses with a view of adding shareholder value.
  • Assist in preparation of internal and external financial communications and presentations.
  • Develop knowledge and relationships with Asian business units to guide plan process and understand/address issues.
  • Advise and coordinate with Group (Head Office in Toronto) on divisional issues comply with reporting requirements and meeting deliverable timeline.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and financial analysis for senior management as required.
  • Drive improvement to existing process and build robust controls to support efficient forecasting and planning.
