Who we are looking for

An Associate Counsel will generally have 2-4 years of experience as an attorney and, while not required, experience in the financial services industry is a plus. An Associate Counsel must demonstrate an ability to handle multiple priorities, to establish good working relationships with clients and to work collegially with others.

What you will be responsible for

As Associate Counsel, AVP you will

  • Responsible for developing a working knowledge of the 1940 Act and practices and keeping current with legal developments.
  • Works at the direction of a more senior attorney in the delivery of legal administration services to clients, including board book services and regulatory filing services.
  • Participates in projects for which the problems and issues are clearly identified.
  • After specific instructions, renders preliminary drafts of documents or a preliminary response on specific issues for higher level review.
