Position Overview

Apollo are looking for an Associate to join the Consumer and Residential Credit team in London.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execution of portfolio transactions (back-book trades, forward flow agreements, collateralized funding of credit assets)
  • Covering all European jurisdictions (+ AUS) and asset classes (PDH, BtL, RPL, NPL resi mortgages, unsecured, auto, granular leasing)
  • Key activities
    • Review info package from sellers in portfolio sale processes, conducting Q&A
    • Analyze portfolio loan tapes, verifying data consistency and generating stratifications
    • Assess risk parameters of portfolios, deriving loss assumptions from historical performance
    • Monitor portfolio performance, ensuring data consistency, identifying key trends and liaising with investors
    • Review transaction documentation with help from legal counsel and negotiation of commercial terms
    • Due diligence credit underwriting and servicing policies and processes, standard legal contract forms and data integrity
    • Set-up data reporting processes with servicers

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2-3 years as Analyst /Associate at the structured finance desk of a top-tier investment bank covering ABS / RMBS transactions
  • Involved in multiple public RMBS issuance transactions across the credit spectrum (prime, BtL, non-conforming, RPL)
  • Participated in multiple private secured funding transactions on credit asset portfolios across Europe
  • Experience as sell-side advisor in portfolio transactions on European re-performing residential mortgage loans
  • Knowledgeable of standard legal documentation for credit asset securitisation and financing across the main European jurisdictions, in particular under English law
  • Proficient in modelling loan portfolios in Excel, Bloomberg and Intex
  • Strong knowledge of loan and fixed income concepts and statistical analysis
  • Language skills - English Spanish, German, Dutch or French also helpful
