Team Overview
The Portfolio Data & Document Data Oversight
teams are integral parts of the wider Client Experience Operations function at BlackRock, working collaboratively to ensure the integrity and accuracy of client portfolios and legal documents across Aladdin applications within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Our primary responsibility is to support the creation, maintenance, and governance of client portfolios and BlackRock products, as well as the management of client contracts and other legal documents globally. We play an active and transparent role, working closely with Onboarding and critical internal stakeholders to maintain high levels of portfolio data integrity and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting obligations.
Utilising Aladdin proprietary and Artificial Intelligence tools, our teams ensure that all client contractual and due diligence documents are accurately stored and maintained, facilitating elite client service experiences for new and existing clients, enabling Portfolio Managers to fulfil their investment management responsibilities, and supporting Legal and Compliance teams in meeting regulatory requirements.
Our work is essential as the data we handle is consumed downstream by many teams for both internal and external purposes, contributing to the overall success and reputation of BlackRock in the financial industry.

Associate
Primary responsibilities include
- Ensure accurate reflection and maintenance of client requirements from contract or legal documents in the standing data system.
- Manage the process of operational portfolio set-ups of all new client & BLK products.
- Develop and execute complex SQL queries.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain consistency in client document storage.
- Monitor the health of client contractual and due diligence documents, resolving exceptions as needed.
- Maintain and monitor project documentation using project tracker tools.
- Build positive relationships across the organization by actively listening to internal partners.
- Identify opportunities for improvement to lower error risk and increase efficiency.
- Assist in supporting projects and resolving data exceptions.
- Partner with colleagues to accurately create, maintain, and terminate new BlackRock products and client mandates in Aladdin.
Experience, Skills, & Qualifications
- years of experience in investment management business, highly desirable.
- 3 to 5
- Familiarity reading legal documents and ability to understand basic legal document structure and terms

- Strong control/risk mitigation mentality with ability to know when to advance issues

- Organized and detail oriented with strong time management skills.
- Good communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Experience with business applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SQL.
- Proficiency in SQL and Basic Python skills are considered advantageous for this role but are not essential
- Excellent work ethic and willingness to contribute beyond the scope of ones role to achieve team and firm objectives
