About the Team

The Client Experience (CX) team, situated within the Technology & Operations organization, is responsible for operational client servicing, working in partnership with our client businesses and teams across the firm to drive, enhance and deliver an exceptional client service experience. Function Description

Within Client Experience Transformation (CXT), the Change Engineering team is responsible for the ongoing development of new strategic and tactical platform tools spanning Client Experience Management, Wealth, Whole Portfolio Servicing, Digital Transformation, Client Onboarding, Contracting, Reporting and Invoicing.

The Engineering team takes on strategic and tactical projects based on benefits including return on investment. Projects generally rely on process streamlining and automation to improve the overall client experience. Team members gain a broad understanding of BlackRock's asset and risk management business (including our Aladdin platform) and will increase their exposure to both engineering and project management.

Role Responsibility

  • Work with CXT, technical leads, business owners, the Aladdin Engineering and Product teams through the whole SDLC, analyzing, understanding and refining systems requirements, designing and developing tools to solve problems
  • Develop and maintain strategic and tactical operational systems, tools and processes, including usage of AI
  • Ensure software stability via documentation and code reviews so applications run successfully
  • Define test strategy and maintain test & use cases to facilitate user acceptance and regression testing
  • Alignment to company standards (security, access control, support and change control)
  • Support and complete various efficiency and capacity-building initiatives, including automation/standardization efforts and migration projects.
  • Collaborate closely with team members locally and in a multi-office, multi-country environment

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience software development and design (preferably in Python coding/back end)
  • Proven track record in delivering projects and implementing solutions
  • Hands-on programming or automation experience with tools such as Python, Java, VBA, SQL, RPA (e.g. Blue Prism), Unix
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and tools. Azure, Agile / Scrum methodology, Jira, Git, Continuous Integration
  • Passion for learning, development and deployment of solutions in the rapidly evolving AI/GenAI arena

Nice to have

  • Experience with Microsoft dynamics
  • Strong knowledge of Business Analysis techniques
  • Understanding Project Management methodology desirable
  • Experience with a NoSQL Database (e.g. Apache Cassandra)
  • Building web applications using the latest frameworks (e.g. Streamlit, React, Angular)

Competencies

  • B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Candidates should possess a high level of self-motivation, accountability, and adaptability
  • Be flexible, dynamic and passionate about using technology to drive return on investment
  • Demonstrate a proactive positive can do attitude and contribute as a partner within a truly global team
  • Be very organized and focused, with practiced skills in operating effectively to tight deadlines.
  • Meticulous with the capacity for working efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize information and summarize issues
  • Able to communicate effectively to all levels across business and technology.
