Job DutiesAssociate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Structures, analyzes, and executes transactions on behalf of companies in the natural resources sector. Reviews proprietary financial models, such as merger and acquisition (M&A), DCF, and LBO valuations in the natural resources sector and help evaluate models to develop key judgments. Guides and coordinates junior professionals' work product, including reviewing financial modeling work and presentations prepared for transactions, corporate board meetings, investment banking pitches and client service projects on corporate finance topics supervises and reviews memoranda required to gain internal approvals from typical investment banking committees. Analyzes accounting and regulatory statements, debt and equity filings and documents, financial projections and models as prepared in various formats by clients. Manages live deal execution in the natural resources sector, including running due diligence processes, negotiating non-disclosure agreements and other legal documents with lawyers and potential buyers, organizing, and attending deal and non-deal roadshows and liaising with other investment banks. Presents to CEO/CFO level corporate clients in the natural resources sector on topics such as strategic alternatives, capital markets activities, restructuring alternatives and corporate governance issues at board meetings and pitches and on conference calls. Drafts financing and offering documents and assists companies in preparation of materials to present to potential buyers of the company or their securities. Performs data analysis to help clients make capital structure and M&A decisions.

Job RequirementsBachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related investment banking position.Prior experience must include three (3) years with the following building and reviewing financial models in excel or related spreadsheet tools including operating models, M&A and LBO valuations and models that incorporate corporate finance concepts, risk return dynamics and GAAP and non-GAAP (for foreign equivalent) principles for companies within the natural resources sector working in the natural resources sector, specifically the chemicals, metals and mining, midstream, or powers and utilities sectors and experience with the relevant industries managing and coordinating multiple work streams with senior bankers and various product experts across the company M&A or other technical corporate finance experience including executing debt or equity financing transactions more than $100 million and executing public mergers and acquisitions transactions more than $500 million executing M&A transactions involving deal origination, information memorandum preparation, strategic and financial partner approach strategies, valuation and combination analyses, transaction negotiation and fairness opinions and board presentations drafting and reviewing securities offering documents, sale and purchase agreements and other legal contracts for complex financial transactions, such as M&A and complex debt and equity financings executing detailed analysis of the pro forma impact of debt, equity and other capital issuances, spin-offs, divestitures, and changes in capital allocation policies including dividend and share repurchases developing complex presentations and presenting to clients on M&A, corporate strategy and financing alternatives and managing multiple live work streams, coordinate with clients, external counsels, co-advisors, and senior deal team members to ensure smooth execution of deals. Must obtain FINRA Series 79 and SIE licenses within three (3) months of hire. Travel 10% domestic and international travel required to attend client meetings and industry conferences. All travel expenses are covered by the firm.

Salary RangeThe expected annual base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $174,000 - $225,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
