Job DutiesAssociate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Make markets for customers and generally transact in agency collateralized mortgage obligations, agency specified pools and agency mortgage derivatives. Hedge new and existing trades using treasuries and interest rate futures. Conduct detailed, in-depth analysis of new and existing positions for the purpose of pricing and risk management. Evaluate market implied pricing for prepayments across various specified pool stories. Work independently with structuring and sales personnel to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities participate in the presentation of ideas. Engage customers with various trade ideas and discuss hedging/market related views both over the phone and in person meetings with minimal guidance.

Job Requirements Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years in the following analyzing and cutting cash flows using structuring tools including Intex Deal Maker and Excel. Prior experience must include one (1) year in the following deploying creative risk-management frameworks for hedging collateralized mortgage obligation (CMO) and new issue positions with swap, futures and mortgages imbedding various macro duration, curve views alongside it working with traders, salespeople, structuring, financial operations teams, and management to deliver liquidity for customers in agency mortgages explaining market dynamics and opportunities within structured agency CMO's to clients, regulators, and controllers through commentary and market color executing trade deals focused on agency mortgage-backed securities (MBS) and specifically with respect to CMO structuring utilizing financial and mathematical skills such as fixed income bond math to quantify and analyze cash flows and developing hedging and risk management strategies and building tools to analyze single bond and to aggregate risk factors and yield profile. FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses required. 5% of time travel required to visit customers.

Salary RangeThe expected annual base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $174,000 - $225,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
