JobDutiesAssociate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York.Multiple positions available. Manage multi-asset class portfolios in line with client guidelines, internal investment policies, and regulatory constraints. Create investment, risk, and portfolio construction frameworks across asset classes while developing an expertise in beta replication and portfolio hedging techniques. Structure trades to facilitate portfolio activity across asset classes and product types (equities, fixed income, currencies, alternatives) and instruments (futures, forwards, ETFs, options, swaps, funds). Monitor and manage portfolio positioning and risk across multi-asset funds and retail models on a daily basis. Exercise discretion in portfolio trading and rebalancing decisions. Work closely with other MAS teams to execute strategic and tactical investment ideas with consistency and scale, including determining optimal instruments to trade based on portfolio specific, regulatory and market- related considerations. Monitor portfolio risk across various investment vehicles and product desks, including exposure, currency and cash management, investment manager and vehicle oversight. Recommend changes to portfolio posture based on observed findings. Manage derivative based overlay strategies to enhance risk management profile of overall portfolios and/or capture market risk premia. Serve as the investment-side lead for complex portfolio events, including onboarding of new client mandates and investment product launches potentially involving billions of dollars in assets. Design investment and risk analytics for retail models and facilitate model delivery to retail platforms. Review new portfolio design and investment strategies for client portfolio suitability, with specific focus on our ability to effectively manage and implement such portfolios and strategies. Provide Portfolio Management and Trading review and sign offs on new business and investment opportunities and lead strategic planning for effectuating the portfolio management, trading, and risk management processes. Lead and oversee projects aimed at enhancing trading and risk management processes, infrastructure and analytics to further empower the teams oversight over portfolio management activities and mitigate trading risks.

Job RequirementsBachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in a portfolio management or trading role with a focus on managing complex derivative exposures and managing and designing investment funds and retail products. Prior work experience must include three (3) years with managing, trading, and implementing multi-asset class portfolios, including management of options-based investment and hedging strategies monitoring portfolio level risk and dynamic investment views, including management and monitoring of market-based triggers designing scenario analysis on investment outcomes to inform decision making regarding increasing or decreasing risk in portfolios under various market-based scenarios utilizing investment products across numerous legal structures to effect portfolio management and trading decisions including the following legal structures US 1940 Act Mutual Funds, CITs, BCTs, Offshore public funds, and private funds using complex exchange listed financial derivatives and over-the counter financial instruments to manage portfolio market exposures including combining such instruments to replicate market benchmarks and completing portfolio betas running and using portfolio level factor risk statistics to make decisions regarding tactical trade sizing analyzing portfolio currency positioning and utilizing the outcome of the analysis to effect portfolio level currency hedges within the overall fund and individual share classes communicating investment strategies and rationales to audiences of varying levels of sophistication and utilizing Reuters and Bloomberg to evaluate asset class and investment product liquidity to make decisions on trade timing, trading strategy, and exposure management. Licenses Required FINRA Series 7, SIE and 63.

Salary Range The expected annual base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $142,000 - $170,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
