Job DutiesAssociate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Serve as the primary point person for futures and options quantitative work and analysis. Responsible for contracts and products tied to macroeconomic variables such as central bank interest rates, financial markets prices, and production and prices of goods and materials. Collect, store, and work with data in monetary policy and related areas. Perform research and analyze data using econometric and mathematical models, and statistical techniques and software. Generate morning reports and write and distribute written notes. Perform computer programming and statistical analysis. Conduct Futures and Options research to create new reports. Attend client meetings and calls for macroeconomic analysis and futures market updates.
Job RequirementsMaster's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Finance, or related quantitative field, such as Computer Science, and one (1) year in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Finance, or related quantitative field, such as Computer Science, and three (3) years in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include one (1) year (with a Master's) or three (3) years (with a Bachelor's) in the following using Python, SQL, and R programming skills to build and maintain required databases and generate product reports working with monetary policy, macroeconomic and related areas where Futures trade, including interest rates, bonds, commodities, equity index and foreign exchange performing quantitative analysis, and developing, working with, and answering inquiries on the models applying quantitative time-series, econometric and regression skills to perform research and create reports using futures and options applying quantitative multi-factor and financial optimization skills while using the industry-standard products working with Bloomberg terminal, software, and programmatic and quantitative analytics and creating and authoring reports presenting the results of the quantitative analyses, with written summary and description of the work and findings and associated tables and figures. FINRA Series 3, Series 7, and Series 63 required within 6 months after joining.Domestic and international travel required up to 25% of the time for client meetings.
Salary RangeThe expected annual base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150,000 - $225,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
