What is the opportunity?

As the Assistant Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Relationship Manager (RM) to manage our relationships with customers within the assigned portfolio.

What will you do?

  • Support RM in providing admin service to clients esp. of high visibility or complex requirements
  • Assist in providing updated market information to clients
  • Handle clients requests and instructions directly, including trade processing and inquiries on operational issues
  • May provide marketing support for RM, perform limited business prospecting activities, including client/prospect communication and seminar activities
  • Collect and prepare documentation for account opening, KYC and risk profiling
  • Work closely with internal partners on monitoring the entire trade processing, including system input, settlement, confirmation and remittance
  • Adhere to RBC policies and procedures thereby protecting the business from financial and reputational risk
  • Comply with relevant Group policies, consider and escalate the adequacy and effectiveness of the business controls on a regular basis
  • Follow operating procedures which include relevant controls to meet group and local policy requirements
  • Participate in projects assigned by Business Management (BM) team
  • Escalate client and risk issues to Team Head, BM or other members of FO mgmt. team where necessary
  • Preparation of RM's business trip and client meetings.
  • Administrative support and other duties as assigned by higher management.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Degree or equivalent is required
  • The role would typically require 5 years of Assistant Relationship Manager experience in Private Bank
  • CACS Paper 1 and 2
  • Team Player
  • Excellent administrative and execution track records
  • Ability to provide organization and client focus solutions
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced Bloomberg & Reuters
  • Strong knowledge in banking products especially in the WM space

Nice-to-have

  • Experience and knowledge of wealth management or private banking investment products will be highly preferred
  • Avaloq system knowledge is preferred
  • This role requires speaking to clients from Southeast Asia, proficiency in language other than English is nice-to-have
