What is the opportunity?

Your responsibility as an Assistant Manager would be ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Corporate Actions Team. You will monitor the daily task allocation, considering Administrator experience and expertise within your team. Cultivate an engaged and motivated team through effective ongoing coaching and leading by example.

What will you do?

  • Analysis and publishing of complex sub-custodian notifications/confirmations.
  • Reconciliation and posting of entitlements resulting from corporate actions to client accounts, in line with any currency deadlines allowing for positioning by the Treasury team.
  • Ongoing development of risk management controls/procedures throughout the event lifecycle of all Corporate Actions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise around complex corporate action handling in support of Supervisors/Administrators processing requirements and responsibilities.
  • Undertaking of monthly 1-1 meetings with individuals on the Corporate Actions Team.
  • The escalation to Manager of matters which may present a financial or reputational risk, supported by current market practices, procedural evidence and supporting documentation.
  • Provide impact analysis and root cause analysis for any Operational Risk Events that may arise.
  • Managing the investigation, resolution and maintenance of all supporting documentation relating to the completion of all queries, including reconciliation queries, within the prescribed time frames.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-Have

  • Proven experience in corporate actions, together with an in-depth understanding of other operational areas within Securities Operations.
  • Possess technical knowledge of market practices in several regions to provide explanation and ongoing training of procedures and market practices worldwide to less experienced staff in the Team.

Nice-to-have

  • Relevant qualifications to Investments Operations administration (e.g., Investment Operations Certificate (CISI).
  • Experience of management duties including, but not limited to, ongoing performance management and process/procedure ownership and development.
