What Youll Do
Were looking for an Assistant Director Data Governance to join our Enterprise Data and Analytics team! Youll be responsible for driving the build out and maintenance of our AI Governance program across the enterprise. This will include developing a consistent set of policies, standards, and practices to enable strategic and ethical use of artificial intelligence, data and analytics all while articulating the value of AI governance.
You'll have the opportunity to
- Create and maintain artificial intelligence (AI) policies and standards while providing oversight to measure compliance and maturity across the enterprise
- Drive AI governance activities and solutions by partnering with IT, Information Security, Risk, Privacy, Compliance, Data Scientists, Data Governance, Data Owners, Data Analysts, and external suppliers to research and resolve issues
- Develop and maintain training materials and playbooks for the enterprise AI development and deployment teams
- Empower and facilitate analytics teams in alignment with the enterprise framework
- Collaborate with the analytics and data scientists community to create scalable solutions that support ethical and responsible AI practices
- Create visibility to AI risk and work with cross-functional resources to document and mitigate AI risks
- Follow all security policies and procedures, to ensure that the highest level of system and data confidentiality, integrity and availability is maintained
- Produce and maintain documentation and artifacts

Who You Are
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of professional experience including risk management, machine learning/predictive modeling, and/or IT
- Deep knowledge of AI, data and analytics governance, risk management, data quality, and master data management concepts
- Skilled in collaborating with a variety of partners, including outside consultants and vendors, with ability to influence others without formal authority
- Strong skills in communicating with all levels of the organization and easily translating complex topics for others to understand
Skills That Will Help You Stand Out
- Masters degree in quantitative discipline
- 6+ years of quantitative modeling experience
- Structured Query Language (SQL) and deep technical capability
- Knowledge of metadata management concepts and processes and good understanding of database and data structures
- Ability to learn new systems and integration patterns, including cloud platforms
- Experience with Data Governance and/or Analytics Governance tools

Work Environments
This role offers an in-office and hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek) work arrangement in Des Moines, IA.
