Asset Management Operations

This position in Shareholder Services is within our Defined Contribution Operations team and is ideal for the person who seeks to deepen his or her client service focus, relationship management skills, has knowledge of the asset management business, is very detail oriented, intellectually curious, enjoys a very fast paced/high energy work environment, welcoming the demands of heavy client interaction. This role involves front line communication with our institutional partners and is responsible for managing client service needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with custodial services team to address account issues
  • Process account paperwork for new and existing clients
  • Respond to client and advisory partners needs/requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist in the design and creation of specifications for processes, tests, and tools to support and scale the portfolio management and service functions
  • Prepare reports and client invoices
  • Help develop processes to ensure quality and efficiency in servicing clients
  • Keep client operation processes up to date with features/services offered by custodial partners
  • Act as key liaison with firm's portfolio administration software team
  • Assist in compliance related activities
  • Other projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with tools of the trade, including Excel, Portfolio Accounting System(s) (PAS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) operations and custodial portals such as Pershing NetX360.
  • Understanding of ERISA retirement plans structures and features, as well as portfolio theory and financial instruments.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required

Work Experience

  • 1-2 years experience in the financial services industry.
