The firm's direct-to-consumer business, Marcus by Goldman Sachs, combines the entrepreneurial spirit of a start-up with more than 150 years of experience. Today, we serve millions of customers across multiple products, leveraging innovative design, data, engineering, and other core capabilities to provide customers with powerful tools and products that are grounded in value, transparency, and simplicity.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Responsible for setting team level strategic action plans, by developing vision, setting high standards and executing ideas.
  • Oversee a high performing operation team to achieve business goals in customer service and maintain employee satisfaction by providing leadership, communication, coaching and professional development to direct reports.
  • Gather and synthesize data to perform root cause analysis and determine thematic trends related to testing failures and issues identified by the business, first line, second and third lines of defense.
  • Coordinate with other business partners and teams to ensure issues are resolved timely and accurately.
  • Work effectively with cross-function on issues in establishing communication plans and ensuring their execution.
  • Prepare detailed communication materials, both presentations and memos, for senior leadership.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and evolution to meet changing requirements to support maximum visibility to the executive audience.
  • Monitor progress and measure performance to find areas for improvement.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • 1-3 years related work experience.
  • Experience building reports and presentations.
  • Basic project management, and research skills with a demonstrated ability to manage projects from start through completion.
  • Advanced analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, organizational and time management skills.
  • Expert level proficiency in the Microsoft tool suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Genuine excitement and passion for leading root cause analysis, troubleshooting technical process failures and implementing fixes to operationalize a process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years banking experience, specifically in risk management
  • Hands-on knowledge of root cause analysis
  • Working knowledge of financial, operational, compliance and reputation risks
