JOB DESCRIPTION
The Asset Stewardship team at State Street Global Advisors is responsible for developing and implementing the firms proxy voting and engagement guidelines, managing issuer engagement, and undertaking research and analysis of governance and sustainability related issues.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a team member with 2 to 3 years of experience in sustainability, data analysis, interpretation and reporting. The candidate is expected to liaise with our business stakeholders, internal teams and support our voting and engagement activities by conducting research on various sustainability topics. We are looking for a candidate with -
- Knowledge or experience related to sustainability and interest in topics such as climate change, human capital management and corporate governance.
- Experience in analyzing proxy voting data or sustainability data and presenting insights.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to present information in an organized, clear and engaging way.
- Strong interpersonal skills with comfort working independently and within a team setting.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, demonstrating initiative and the ability to prioritize workloads.
- Assist in the delivery of stewardship tools and enhancing workflow.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Finance/Economics, Sustainability or related field or MBA
- Proficient in advanced
- Excel
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to execute independently and also maintain strong team orientation
- Appian, Tableau/data visualization tools, SQL, programming experience highly regarded
