Role Workplace Sustainaibility Analyst
Team Overview
The Global Workplace Experience team is responsible for delivery of a workplace environment for employees and visitors that is customer focused, enables productivity, reflects the BlackRock culture, and operates with efficiency. The team provides for the Design, Construction and Operation of BlackRock workplace environments, and works with stakeholders, internal partners and vendors to ensure consistent service delivery and provide a well-managed workplace that meets business needs.
Role Responsibility
The Workplace Sustainability analyst is responsible for supporting the definition and execution of Blackrock's Workplace strategies for utilities & energy efficiency, carbon reduction, waste, and sustainability within the portfolio. The role will help to monitor the execution of sustainability initiatives within BlackRock corporate properties in the following areas
This role will include partnership with other corporate stakeholders to align with corporate strategies and regulatory requirements. This includes the following
- Track and monitor progress of tactical and strategic deliverables to achieve sustainability goals. Provide tools and project reporting to support consistent reporting structures.
- Communication & training on practices, policies and programs designed to achieve sustainability objectives.
- Coordinate the development of a network of sustainability SMEs within the organization.
- Support accurate and timely response to client inquiries and disclosure statements related to sustainability.
- Drive execution of energy consumption reporting requirements across the portfolio, including establishing reporting tools, monitoring data for accuracy and completeness, and identifying data anomalies.
- Ensure team alignment on corporate sustainability objectives and strategies.
- Review regulatory environment and align on execution to meet requirements.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, sustainability or related.
- Understand the basic concepts of conservation and sustainable development, including energy conservation, waste management, resource and water conservation, and environmental reporting metrics.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to comprehend and learn new computer programs or tools.
Preferred
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Sustainability Professional (CSP), or similar certifications strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated record of successful implementation of sustainability programs.
- Advanced skills in managing large datasets.

- Interpersonal skills to aid in the building of relationships with key stakeholders.
- A self-motivator with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to work with interdepartmental teams.
- Analytically inclined.
