What is the opportunity?

RBCCM's Client and Marketing Strategy team is a high-performing team of marketing professionals, digital marketing specialists, content and brand strategists, and experienced financial services professionals, supporting the ambitious goals of our growth-oriented enterprise.

The US Business Marketing Analyst will play a key role in building and executing client-centric marketing efforts to support top business growth and revenue priorities for the US and global capital markets business (RBCCM).

The US Business Marketing Analyst will execute on the Business Marketing Team's strategic vision to support our business units (Global Markets, Investment Banking, Research, Municipal Finance, and Cash Management) and will work on a variety of initiatives to drive impact. The successful candidate must possess excellent project management, analytical, strategic problem-solving and communication skills. Proficiency in design, video, and audio program tools is a plus.

The Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the development of impactful content, creative and multi-format media and distribution assets, executions and analytics for key initiatives. This role is a critical part of the Client and Marketing Strategy Group and offers a unique opportunity to help drive and expand our thought leadership platform and key product rollouts while gaining knowledge and a deeper understanding across industries and capabilities. This role will provide cross-team support within US Business Marketing related to thought leadership and product focus areas.

This position will be highly focused on executing on opportunities to elevate and achieve business unit goals by partnering with senior business leaders to produce differentiating thought leadership content, product messaging, webpage assets, and distribution channel assets, executions, and analytics.

Distribution assets include client emails, standard display ads, social media, newsletter placements and more. The Analyst will play a pivotable role in supporting the business with ad-hoc collateral needs including the development of sponsorship ads and handouts.

What will you do?

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following

  • Work closely with the Head of US Business Marketing to develop strategic plans designed to support key business goals, promote our expertise/capabilities, and influence corporate clients and institutional investors across the US.
  • Collaborate with business partners on priority projects and initiatives, as well as targeted client marketing support.
  • Help manage the development and execution of marketing strategies in support of RBC Capital Markets' Global Markets and Investment Banking businesses.
  • Support Global Head of Content Strategy and Head of US Business Marketing on the development and execution of content marketing programs.
  • Develop and execute digital strategies and drive coordination with web development team to effectively reach and engage C-suite and institutional investor clients/prospects.
  • Monitor and measure key metrics for ongoing content marketing campaigns and help identify ways to optimize performance across these efforts.
  • Work closely with business partners and serve as project manager on large scale campaigns, product launches and digital initiatives.
  • Partner with marketing colleagues on multi-channel campaigns and support/execute digital marketing efforts, including advertising, content development, social media, email, SEO, website and more.
  • Produce and edit multi-format content (i.e., audio, video) and creative assets for priority thought leadership programs.
  • Partner with design team to create, manage and support business-as-usual requests and additional marketing tactics collateral development (brochures, marketing sheets, mailers, etc.), client communications, sales presentations, sponsorships and events.
  • Collaborate and support Marketing and Corporate Communications partners on major brand initiatives that benefit the broader firm both in the U.S. and globally.
  • Coordinate with the Conference & Events team to develop and execute content activation strategies and manage marketing initiatives for RBC proprietary conferences.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • BA in Marketing, Communications and/or Business-related degree
  • 12 years of work experience
  • Previous experience or background in marketing or communications preferred
  • Creative thinker/problem solver, with client-focused approach and strong drive to continuously improve, learn and add value to the business
  • Hands on experience with audio/video production and editing, as well as with certain design software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
  • Strong writing skills, with an ability to identify interesting ideas and assist with turning them into compelling content.
  • Highly organized and entrepreneurial, ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced corporate environment while maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills ability to work well within and across a team is critical to success
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Nice-to-have

  • Financial services marketing experience
  • Previous experience with content development, digital marketing or communications

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $80,000
