Analyst, Investment Performance Analysis Data Management -
About The Role
In this role, this individual uses investment knowledge, technical expertise and tools to ensure that the investment performance data is accurate, complete and of high quality. This individual facilitates the intake and reconciliation of data into the Performance ecosystem. In this role the individual will identify ways to optimize data workflows and data management processes to reduce operational risk, increase efficiency, and reduce operational costs. The individual should be passionate about data and data analysis, and can connect and communicate with technical and non-technical partners.
Role Summary
Analyzes and/or reviews performance data, including performance returns, benchmark data, statistics, and attribution, as well as facilitates the resolution of investment data issues. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. Interprets and analyzes investment-related data to support investment operational capabilities in delivering performance services for our stakeholders and complex products.
Responsibilities
- Continues to develop understanding of investment performance analysis function to improve current processes and meet changing data needs as defined by regulatory changes and customer needs.
- Identifies ways to optimize data workflows and data management processes to reduce operational risk, increase efficiency, and reduce operational costs
- Loads investment data into performance databases and ensures data quality
- Identify and address stakeholder concerns regarding the quality of performance data
- Acts as an intermediary between stakeholders and technology to deliver new data, resolve data issues, and address other related issues.
- Identifies and consolidates reporting on issues for review by more senior professionals in the development of measurable process and technology improvements.
- Gathers information and contributes to the development of recommendations for resolving business problems related to performance.
- Provides ongoing support to institutional groups from a systems and/or business process troubleshooting perspective.
- Builds strong relationships with internal customers, enhancing their business activities through flexible and responsive customer service.
- Achieving business objectives through sound business judgment, technical knowledge, strong execution, and excellent client service
Typical Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
- 2+ years of total relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Excel and SQL knowledge
- Experience in the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives for operational workflows
- Thoughtful process of analyzing data and problem-solving skills to reach a well-reasoned solution
- Experience with performance data, including performance returns, benchmark data, statistics and attribution data
- Strong interpersonal skills
FINRA licenses are not required for this role and will not be supported.
Regional Requirements
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week. Schedule includes 3 on-site collaboration days Monday-Wednesday.
