The position involves working with the outsource provider, front office business partners and clients, as well as other operational teams to ensure risk is managed daily. Role Summary
Contributes to trade management processes and supporting functions across derivatives, private placements, and discretionary trading. Anticipates, identifies, and implements enhancements to the firms processes for efficient and well controlled processes, including those of our outsourced
providers.Works
Responsibilities
- Supports derivatives trading and lifecycle events, private placements, and discretionary trading within the Middle Office Trade Management team.
- Coordinates Middle Office Trade Management activities and oversight with our outsourced provider, including transfers, settlements, redemptions, counterparty reconciliations, and controls for internal and external accounts.
- Identifies, drives, and implements process improvement initiatives to drive uplift and value add.
- Partners with internal global stakeholders, clients and vendors to support the go-live of new accounts and investment products.
- Enhances process documentation as needed. Trains and guides less experienced peers and support staff on preventing errors and interpreting process controls. Collaborate with leadership to develop, implement, or refine operating processes and controls.
- Works independently, receives minimal guidance, but is willing to accept feedback and suggestions. Acts as a resource for and key external stakeholders on broad-ranging projects.
- Digs into the detail as needed to ensure ongoing knowledge and client service to the Front Office business partners and other internal/external clients.
- Partners with our client service teams to review/meet client requirements and due diligence requests.
- Follows established controls, checks and validates third-party reconciliations provides feedback on third-party performance and quality to management.
- Works with clients and internal stakeholders to prepare account outsourcing plans stewards account transition process to the end-state infrastructure of outsourced providers. Analyzes report metrics and develops recommendations to address deficiencies.
Typical Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Investment Management, Asset Management, or Financial Services industry experience strongly preferred
- Derivatives expertise preferred
- Existing Private Placement knowledge a plus
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
FINRA licenses are not required for this role and will not be supported.
Regional Requirements
This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week.
