Responsibilities
The Data Governance Analyst is responsible for guiding teams and individuals through various data governance related activities. This person will play an important role on the Data Governance team in maturing the data governance framework across Oaktree.
Responsibilities include
- Partner with project and business teams to facilitate the development of an active data governance community, ensure artifacts are maintained consistently and reinforce adherence to the policies and principles of data governance.
- Navigate effectively across business, data management and IT partners to understand the current data structures and processes impacting data with a focus on providing value to the business through effective documentation in a data catalog.
- Acting as a champion of cross-functional collaboration and usage of self-service tools by business data stewards, owners and consumers.
- Support the creation of the data quality framework assessments.
- Enhance and maintain data dictionaries and the data catalog, including setup of new data assets and ongoing maintenance.
- Implement escalation procedures for data quality issues captured in JIRA, in collaboration with data stewards
- Provide tailored reporting for various data quality metrics (e.g., outstanding issues, issue resolution, etc.).
- Leading small group training sessions to enhance data literacy in the organization.
- Assist with key data stewardship routines including the Data Stewards Working Group, ad-hoc status touchpoints and offsites.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years relevant experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience working with data governance applications.
- Knowledge of industry leading data quality, data governance and data management processes and tools.
- Demonstrable understanding of information management, data governance, data quality, data analysis and metadata management topics.
- Knowledge of data related regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues.
- Proactive mindset with focus on providing value with thorough data analysis.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio

Base Salary Range
$90,000 - $115,000
In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a
