Position Overview

Position Overview

The Analyst will work closely with junior and senior members of the Risk Compliance team to implement and monitor investment guideline compliance for various Funds, CLOs, and Separate Accounts managed by Apollo. The Analyst will support all aspects of therisk compliance program, including implementing and encoring policies, setting up and monitoring compliance tests in the firm's trading systems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Review and validate new investment guideline test setup in Trading/Compliance System
  • Design procedures to perform new investment guideline tests done outside Trading/Compliance System work with Trade Operations and Credit Technology teams to automate testing.
  • Perform ongoing validation checks of investment guideline test results
  • Maintain log of investment guideline breaches analyze cause of investment guideline breaches and recommend remediation plan to improve process and controls
  • Research issues with the fund operations team to validate position and other security-related data
  • Complete reconciliations of compliance results with CLO Trustee on a regularly scheduled cadence

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree with an excellent record of academic achievement,

preferably in Finance or a related field

3-5 years of experience working in a financial services company

Experience with investment guideline compliance required familiarity operating within order management systems (i.e.), Everest, Aladdin, thinkFolio, Charles River, etc.)

Strong knowledge of the operational complexities of various financial instruments, including bank loans, corporate bonds, structured credit, collateralized loan obligations and derivatives

Understanding that work schedule will require partial overlap with New York (EST) business hours

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical

Ability to collaborate with colleagues while exercising independent judgment

Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands to meet deadlines

High ethical standards

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
