Analyst/Associate, QIS Structuring Insurance and Retail Distribution Solutions
What is the opportunity?
Hiring opportunities exist within RBCCM for energetic, bright, and talented individuals. The Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) team designs and executes systematic investment solutions with a wide range of clients. Solutions are typically Equity and/or Cross-Asset delivered as custom strategies or rule-based Indices. This is a relatively small but rapidly growing team that includes highly driven individuals across Trading, Structuring, Sales and Strats.
The QIS Structuring role provides the opportunity to gain in-depth, hands-on experience while working and learning alongside our experienced market professionals. In selecting candidates, we look for well-rounded individuals with a track record of outstanding academic achievement, proven technical and analytical skills and a diversity of extracurricular activities. Other essential qualities we look for include strong oral and written communication skills, leadership qualities, initiative, and the ability to play a key role as a team member in a fast-paced and challenging work environment. The QIS Structuring hire will be provided with practical training, hands-on capital markets experience and career-building mentorship throughout. This opportunity sits within the Global Equities Group.
What will you do?
As a QIS Structurer, the aim will be to help grow the US Insurance and Global Retail Distribution business linked to Custom Investable Indices. Activities include
- Help design new custom Indices
- Backtest new strategies for R&D purposes, help with documentation, support production of marketing materials
- Price payoffs linked to custom Indices Vanilla Options, Principal Protected Notes and other Structured Payoffs
- Ensuring timely delivery of client follow-ups
- Engineer tools and streamline processes to aid efficiency
What do you need to succeed?
- 1-3 Years of Experience in Financial Markets/Index Development/Equity Derivatives Preferred
- Strong research abilities and excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills
- Extremely motivated and able to take initiative to identify ways to add value and improve practices
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, business sense and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in high pressure environments
- Programming Strong Python experience required Database Skills SQL, KDB
- Proficient with the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Open to candidates from QIS/Index teams at - Investment Banks, Index Providers, Asset Management organizations
- Also open to recent Graduates with strong prior internship experience

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $110,000 - $195,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status market conditions and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance and paid time-off plan.
