About Product Strategy
Product Strategists serve as a link between portfolio managers and our clients globally. We work closely with portfolio managers and use our deep understanding of products and markets to make the investment process more relatable to our clients.
We are expanding our Product Strategy team in Budapest, which serves as the innovation hub of the team's production of timely and effective marketing materials, fund analytics and business intelligence. In addition to servicing existing clients, product strategists have an opportunity to help drive new business and assist the firm with achieving its commercial objectives.
We have several new roles available within the team, at the Analyst and Associate level, to support the growth and development of the fixed income business.
About Fundamental Fixed Income
Analysing and capturing return opportunities takes skill, insight and experience. BlackRock's Fundamental Fixed Income platform provides investors with the experience and help to navigate markets around the globe. We offer a range of both unconstrained and targeted bond funds providing investors with exposure to different segments of the bond market including investment grade corporate, government, high yield corporate and emerging market debt.
Role responsibilities include
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge about Fixed Income product offering and key fund metrics.
- Showcase subject matter expertise by handling complex ad hoc client requests, both quantitative and qualitative, in relation to the impact of the financial market developments on their portfolio performance and positioning.
- Prepare market review write ups including market outlooks for particular segments in fixed income.
- Take on projects which facilitate portfolio management capabilities of the team on an ad hoc basis.
- Be accountable for the quality and timeliness of the content provided by the team.
- Support client servicing by engaging in driving tech initiatives focused on efficiency gains and improving collaboration among PS teams to enhance overall operational effectiveness.
- Keep abreast of regulatory and other structural trends and ensure that both new and existing products comply with regulatory requirements.
You should have
- A good understanding of Fixed Income markets and products
- Keen interest in global financial markets be up to date on macro events and market trends
- Desire to learn about the investment management industry
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
- High proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint Tableau and Python are a plus
- Strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency around deadlines and an ability to multitask
- Proactive, problem-solving attitude supported by the ability to effectively combine outputs from different sources of technology/systems
- A desire to pursue CFA, FRM and/or CAIA is welcome
