Who we are looking for
High visibility client-facing role managing complex internal and external relationships and supporting a variety of client business management responsibilities. The role requires industry and technical proficiency to function as a cross-client subject matter expert with extensive interaction across all internal support functions to enhance the State Street client experience.

Already supporting a substantial number of top-tier global investment manager clients, Alpha is leveraging its leading market share, extensive capabilities, and a strong growth pipeline to achieve significant scale advantage and margin growth. This Assistant Vice President position will play a critical role in ensuring client revenue retention, growth, and profitability, through extensive engagement with both clients and sales prospects, and by managing a client service team dedicated to delivering service excellence.
Responsibilities
- North America lead of Alpha MO client service team covering multiple complex clients across all facets of the MO relationship. Lead by example in creating a culture of openness, high-performance, and change.
- Accountable to the Alpha MO senior management team to further advance the optimal service operating model and influence opportunities to increase quality, productivity and control related to the Alpha model.

- Aid client service management representative throughout the sales and onboarding cycle for new Alpha MO prospects (e.g. RFP, development of financial pricing strategy and future state operating model, technical implementation onto the State Street platform)
- Serving as a senior Voice of the Client on behalf of Alpha MO Services, provide leadership in complex matrixed environment effectively collaborating across functional and geographical boundaries to influence and gain buy-in to deliver on client satisfaction and profitability.
Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of financial services experience, preferably in client management, investment manager operations, technology, or product management disciplines.
- Staff Management ability to manage teams on a direct and/or a dotted-line basis. Managing by influence will be a key ingredient to success.
- Proven ability to achieve results with the persistence and patience to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external constituents.
- Demonstrated skills in problem assessment and resolution as well as collaborative problem solving in a complex setting.
- Operational Risk Management/Awareness strong understanding of risk/problem areas and ability to navigate internal and client situations related to service issues and/or errors.
- Proven ability to detect emerging industry trends (operations and IT) and make recommendations for creative changes.
- Comfortable in working in a collaborative, fast-paced, agile environment.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral skills to enable effective presentation to clients and State Street executive management.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret P&L in order to make informed decisions from a business management perspective
- Education BA/BS or equivalent. MBA preferred.
